Hôtel de Ville
The Hôtel de Ville, Paris's city hall, is the center of political Paris. Like Paris, it has been through some turbulent times.
More than a 110 meters long, 85 meters large and 48 meters high, the building is the largest city hall in Europe.
It was, in its days, a place of experimentation for state-of-the-arts techniques: ventilation heating, hidraulic lifts, electric lighting and, above all, the telephone.
