The Charles Bridge in Prague

The "Charles Bridge" is one of Prague' s symbols. It joins the historic quarters of Stare Mesto and Mala Strana. Work was begun on its construction at the time of Charles IV ( latter half of the 14th century ) by P. Parler and J. Ottl, and it was completed in the early 15th century, under the reign of Wenceslas IV. The strain of the centuries and the destructive floods of the Vltava have certainly put the Charles Bridge to the test, and in fact two of its arches had to be rebuilt in 1890. read more...

Hôtel de Ville

The Hôtel de Ville, Paris's city hall, is the center of political Paris. Like Paris, it has been through some turbulent times.
More than a 110 meters long, 85 meters large and 48 meters high, the building is the largest city hall in Europe.
It was, in its days, a place of experimentation for state-of-the-arts techniques: ventilation heating, hidraulic lifts, electric lighting and, above all, the telephone.

Mykonos is a Greek island and a mass tourist destination, renowned for its intense nightlife. The island is part of the Cyclades, lying between Siros, Paros, Tinos, and Naxos. It spans an area of 105.184 km2 (41 sq mi) and rises at an elevation of 342m (1,118 ft) at its highest point. The island has little natural fresh water and relies on the desalination of sea water in order to meet its needs. There are 9,530 inhabitants (2011) most of whom live in the largest town, Mykonos, also known as Chora , which lies on the west coast.
